The members of DISTINCT define beauty in terms of intelligence, self-respect, confidence, and dedication to personal goals.  In furthering our minds and talents, we have learned that attractiveness comes from within—as we define ourselves—and then radiates to those around us.  It is not bound by gender, race, religion, or any other classification to which others impose preconceived ideals.  We are all beautiful, and we celebrate the varied faces and visions of this philosophy.
