In February of 2007, DISTINCT Models was founded to promote fashion-related activities at Chicago State University.  Our goal is to educate our members, along with the CSU community, about the modeling industry, and to produce professional events that highlight cutting-edge creative trends.  We are committed as a cohesive group to campus and community service, and we strive to include diverse cultures by implementing a wide array of fashion workshops and programs.

Furthermore, as a student organization, we pledge to excel academically and support each other with study groups, tutoring, and seminars.  Through this network, we aim to develop life-long learning habits which we can apply toward achieving our ultimate goals.  As we continue to grow in membership and develop in style, we will forever hold fast to our core values—Dynamic, Ingenious, Scholarly, Trustworthy, Inspirational, Noble, Classy, and Trendsetters. Only through these high standards will we deem ourselves a successful modeling troupe.
